Welcome to your weekly what's on round up for the Shotley peninsula sponsored by The Red Lion in Chelmondiston

Every Thursday we collate all the eye-catching events occurring in this area over the weekend.

Shop Local this Christmas and get along to one of the festive events on the peninsula this weekend.

Take your young ones to meet Father Christmas at Fields as its festive team is looking to make this year bigger and better than last, by extending its trail, more lights, more crafts and starting earlier in the day to avoid those chilly evenings!

Everyone is invited to Spring Lodge's Open House and Christmas Lights' switch on Friday afternoon at the Woolverstone home.

Lots of Christmas Carol singing coming up too.

Time it right on Sunday and you can sing your heart out at Woolverstone's St Michael's Church with the Ipswich Society Gilbert & Sullivan Society's Christmas Concert.

Then nip along to Harkstead for the carols which start at 5pm.

Next Wednesday, in the warmth of the beautiful Red Lion in Chelmondiston, Community Carols with mulled wine and mince pies donated by the pub.

The Red Lion serves all the pub classics along with interesting dishes created around seasonal ingredients and local produce as much as possible. Children and dog friendly, there is also have a beautiful courtyard where you can enjoy a glass of wine or a pint or two.

Meanwhile, The Shipwreck is open for dog walkers, ramblers, sailors, sightseers and cyclists all weekend.

Plenty of outside seating with fascinating two counties views across the estuary.
