Welcome to your weekly what's on round up for the Shotley peninsula sponsored by Shotley Marina and The Shipwreck

Every Thursday we collate all the eye-catching events occurring in this area over the weekend.

Read on for the peninsula's not to be missed outings this Coronation weekend, and remember, you can add your upcoming event for free using the black Nub It button.

Starting today with the monthly Soup-Lunch at Shotley Village Hall from 12noon until 1pm.

Join in with tradition going back to 1828 as the Band of the Royal Hospital School takes to the stage on Friday for a night of British and American military music. As well as the usual eclectic mix of music old and new, the concert will feature the renowned Corps of Drums and a full Naval sunset ceremony.

There is more music at the RHS on Saturday as the Wolsey Orchestra present another evening of classical orchestral masterpieces.

Meanwhile, RHS is holding an open morning on Saturday.

Enjoy the outdoors and take trip to Constable Park holiday Cabins and Glamping tents will be available for tours every hour on Saturday 13 May, 10-4.

And if you still crave choral music, then get along to Stutton Village Hall on Sunday afternoon where the De Capo and Vision in Song choir will be performing A King Thing. Prosecco and nibbles add to the occasion.

And if you have time nip across to Felixstowe and see Shotley artist Nigel Shaw exhibiting his unique fusion of art and Sci-Fi.

Meanwhile, The Shipwreck is open for dog walkers, ramblers, sailors, sightseers and cyclists all weekend and on the next Bank Holiday Monday.

Pop in for a meal, hot drink, or something a bit stronger.
