Welcome to your weekly what's on round up for the Shotley peninsula sponsored by Shotley Marina and The Shipwreck

Every Thursday we collate all the eye-catching events occurring in this area over the weekend.

On Friday, it is the start of the Kings Fest Weekender in Brantham with a Youth Club Spectacular.

Saturday sees a live performance from world class opera star Christina Johnson with a best of Proms concert at Wherstead Park

There is also a a wonderful feasting celebration at the Fields Farmshop and Cafe, a wonderful experience inside and out starting breakfast time on Saturday and going on all weekend, including Bank Holiday Monday.

It is a big day on Sunday too, with the Shotley & Erwarton King's Coronation event on the green outside Shotley Village Hall.

Meanwhile, The Shipwreck is open for dog walkers, ramblers, sailors, sightseers and cyclists all weekend and on Bank Holiday Monday.
