Welcome to your weekly what's on round up for the Shotley peninsula sponsored by The Red Lion in Chelmondiston

Every Thursday we collate all the eye-catching events occurring in this area over the weekend.

For something chocolatey, Gothic and scary, Shotley Drama Group are performing their unique showing of The Curse of the Holbrook Zombies.

Starts tonight at Shotley Village Hall, and also on Friday and Saturday. Tickets on the door, or from the Rose pub.

The popular Phoenix Jazz outfit are back with their mix of cool jazz, Latin, soul and rhythm and blues, live at All Saints Church in Holbrook on Friday.

Something for the you one on Saturday morning at Thee Boot in Freston with their Halloween-themed breakfast disco.

Have brunch, dance your hearts out at the kids' disco, play some ghoulish games and snag a trick or treat bag filled with surprises.

This eerie event is perfect for ages 13 and under, but remember, kiddies must bring an adult along for the ride.

Also at the Freston Boot this weekend is this guided nature walk lead by Headroom, Sunday Lunch and a two-hour craft session on Sunday 29th October from 11am - 3pm.

For those looking to know more about climate change, or want to be more involved this could be for you on Saturday morning.

Greener Holbrook Greener World is an exciting and growing Climate Action subgroup of Holbrook Parish Council and they are participating in the Road Shows arranged by Babergh District Council.

Meanwhile, our What's On sponsors The Red Lion has launched its autumn menu, featuring many seasonal and Suffolk produce.

This runs until the end of November, and will then be replaced by the Festive menu.

Friday night is the guaranteed tasty Thali night at The Red Lion in Chelmondiston, in addition to its usual menu.

The Red Lion serves all the pub classics along with interesting dishes created around seasonal ingredients and local produce as much as possible. Children and dog friendly, there is also have a beautiful courtyard where you can enjoy a glass of wine or a pint or two.

On Monday afternoon Tom with his Tot Rock is just one of the attractions at Shotley's Pop Up library.

Meanwhile, The Shipwreck is open for dog walkers, ramblers, sailors, sightseers and cyclists all weekend.

Plenty of outside seating with fascinating two counties views across the estuary.

Pop in for a meal, hot drink, or something a bit stronger.
