Start with a Christmas Quingo at the Shotley Rose, make sure you wear your best festive jumper.
On Saturday 9 December RHS) in Holbrook,will once again open its doors to the public to host its hugely successful Christmas Fayre.
Now in its seventh year, the fayre provides a wonderful way to kick off your festive celebrations. A remarkable range of seasonal delights will be on offer with exclusive gifts from more than 60 independent retailers ranging from art, clothes, jewellery, accessories, home decor, craft, and skincare, through to delicious festive food and drinks, with yuletide entertainment on the day.
The fayre will be open from 10am to 4pm and is free to attend.
Father Christmas is at Fields as its festive team is looking to make this year 's event bigger and better than last, by extending its trail, more lights, more crafts and starting earlier in the day to avoid those chilly evenings!

There is little more Christmassy than joining in with carol singing by candlelight.
St Andrews in Chelmondiston hosts theirs on Sunday afternoon, with minced pies and mulled wine from 3pm.
Reminder that Shotley's Pop Up library complete with a wide range of activities and guests for all generations. is open Fridays.
There is busy day ahead and something for everyone.

The Red Lion serves all the pub classics along with interesting dishes created around seasonal ingredients and local produce as much as possible. Children and dog friendly, there is also have a beautiful courtyard where you can enjoy a glass of wine or a pint or two.
Meanwhile, The Shipwreck is open for dog walkers, ramblers, sailors, sightseers and cyclists all weekend.
Plenty of outside seating with fascinating two counties views across the estuary.
Pop in for a meal, hot drink, or something a bit stronger.
