Wednesday's Wonderful Artist

Maggie Hambling: Although she first studied art under Yvonne Drewry at the Amberfield School in Nacton, where she painted places on the Shotley peninsula from the other side of the Orwell, and then went to the East Anglian School of Painting and Drawing from 1960 under Cedric Morris and Lett Haines at Benton End, Hambling is a renowned sculptor.

Hambling is also known for her intricate land and seascapes, including a celebrated series of North Sea paintings.
