In 1926 - Queen Elizabeth II was born and today celebrates her 95th birthday. On 23 January 2015, (following the death of Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz), the Queen became the oldest reigning monarch in the world and on 21 April 2016 she became the first 90 year old head of state of the UK and 15 other Commonwealth realms.

Once, when walking the grounds of Balmoral with her protection officer, Queen Elizabeth ran into some American tourists. It became clear they didn't recognise her: "Have you ever met the Queen?" they asked. "No," she responded, and then pointed at her protection officer. "But he has."
