Work has stated on resurfacing the council's car park in Chelmondiston today and villagers have been warned it could be closed for up to two weeks.

Chelmondiston parish council have commissioned a professional firm to strip away the old rutted surface and lay a new one for the benefit of its parishioners.

The car park, which was used for customers of the old post office, stated in front of the public car park, is used by patrons of Hers and Sirs hairdressers, local residents and customers of the Red Lion pub.
