Like most food businesses, The Lasan has suffered a serious drop in takings and owner Mohammed Ali is concerned for the future of his staff and the business.

He is also worried some of his customer are missing out as they self-isolate.

Mr Ali said: "One of our kind customers David Bateman, very kindly offered to deliver for a couple of hours to the elderly and vulnerable. But we have had enquiries from other people for delivery which we don't do at the moment.

"That is why I would like to employ a delivery driver to start as soon as possible, so please, if you area available, give me a call."

Although lots of businesses are throttling back, or closing, here are still many employment opportunities available - Check our Jobs page.

Chinese takeaway Laws Cottage is one of those to close its doors with owners Martin and Ruby, who cancelled a trip to Hong Kong to stay safe, making the decision on Monday.

Some pubs are offering a takeaway service with the White Horse in Tattingstone, and the Kings Head in Stutton displaying their menus here.
