Two members of hunt arrested and under investigation after fox killed

Two people have been arrested in connection with offences under the Hunting Act.

Police arrested two males on Wednesday in connection with two reported incidents involving the Essex and Suffolk Hunt.

One in Hintlesham on Saturday 16 December 2023 where a fox was reportedly chased by hounds and a second in Crowfield on Saturday 23 December where a fox died.

A 32 year old male and a 33 year old male were both arrested and taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

They have been named locally as hunt members Jack Henty and Jamie Price..

Both have since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Both hunts were monitored by the Suffolk Action for wildlife group.
