One of the world's largest container ships, for now, has been captured by a Holbrook drone pilot coming in to Felixstowe docks as part of her maiden voyage.

Luke Macaulay's coverage was used on BBC Look East's news last night and this morning.

Ever Alp set off from China on Christmas Day and has stopped over in Malaysia, negotiated the Suez Canal in Egypt, and arrived in Felixstowe from Rotterdam.

She is on her way to Hamburg in Germany where the Panamanian registered ship will unload some of her 24,000 containers.

Ship spotters in Shotley were able to see the Ever Alp, which is 400-metre long, 61.5-metre wide ship with a net tonnage of 221,000 tons and is the fourth in the series of six ships being built for the Taiwanese shipping company Evergreen Marine at the South Korean shipyard Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI).

Ever Alp is the sister ship to the world's largest container ship Ever Ace which unloaded in Felixstowe last year, while the Ever Given was blocking the Suez after getting stuck in the mud.
