Road closure on bridge near to Bull at Brantham
Road closure on bridge near to Bull at Brantham

Work on a key bridge near to the Bull at Brantham is likely to cause severe delays to Shotley peninsula motorists.

The A137 will be closed to traffic coming to and from Wherstead and Stutton to Manningtree at Brantham Hill from Saturday December 10 for at least a day.

Diversions will be set up from as far back as Colchester along the A12, A14 and A137, from 10am for two days if needed.

This closure is to repair rising mains and pipework under the road.

Pedestrian access over the bridge will be allowed.
