Serious road accident involving bike causes delays at Wherstead junction

A serious accident has caused delays on the Wherstead junction and sections of of the A14 between the Copeck roundabout and the Orwell bridge.

Emergency services were called just after 2.35pm after reports of a collision involving a car and motorbike on A137 at Wherstead, and the road was closed.

The motorcyclist sustained shoulder and leg injuries and broken collar bone and taken to hospital

Bourne Hill and the A137 towards Tattingstone was also affected with motorists coming through the affected area and then hitting further delays.
