A peninsula care home has been shortlisted for a special cake award and needs your help to secure victory.
Spring Lodge at Woolverstone, were taking part in a cake competition organised by parent company Kingsley Healthcare and made the top six.
All the cakes have been featured on the Kingsley facebook page here, and the winner will be the one which gets the most LIKES so get clicking for them.
Recently appointed Spring Lodge manager Donna Owen said: "We would like to get the most likes and win but actually it is more than that because we will be donating the cake to Felixstowe Radio as a thank you from Spring Lodge so it would be nice fro them to get the winning cake."
Tom Powell, the second chef at Spring Lodge stepped up to complete the cake when award-winning chef Andy Gray lacerated his finger in an accident at home, and the results was the stunning creation pictured above.
With a woodland base, the chocolate cake is also a nod to Felixstowe Radio, that recently followed up on an article published by Nub News and ran an hour long feature on resident Jantje Huggins to mark International Women's Day. (Full story here...
Radio presenter Rob 'The Dungerman' Dunger came to Spring Lodge to pick up the cake and carefully take it back to the station for the staff to enjoy.
