Santa urges peninsula parents not to miss out on Sleigh visit this Christmas Day

Santa Claus and his elves will be back delivering presents to children the world over again this Christmas but youngsters in Shotley and Holbrook could get a bonus pressie, if the grown ups play their part.
Mums, dads and grandparents have been reminded that they they make sure Sant and his elves visit your home by leaving a gift at the Shotley Rose, before Friday, 22, December.
Due to limited space, please ensure your gift is no bigger than25cm x 18cm x 10cm (the approx size of an old style video cassette).
They will be delivered in a clear plastic bag and delivered on Christmas morning.
A suggested donation of £2 can be given at the same time as dropping off at The Rose, and these funds are used by charitable causes within the village.
Santa has been given an updated list of addresses in Shotley and Shotley Gate, so can deliver to Barrelmans Point (former HMS Ganges) to ensure no boys and girls living or visiting the new development miss out
Meanwhile, in Holbrook grown ups can ensure their child receives a present on Christmas morning by leaving a small gift, clearly labelled with their name and address (phone number) attached and left with Millie Gilson, 11 Clifford Close, Holbrook, by Thursday, 21 December.
