Relief as beauty spot loos reopened

There is nothing worse than getting caught short when you are out and about, especially when the loos are closed.

So many visitors to the Shotley peninsula will be relieved to know the public toilets at Pin Mill have been reopened.

Babergh council workers completed a deep clean at the loos at the beauty spot and opened them for the public's convenience.

Pin Mill is among the first toilets to reopen in the district as all of them have been throughly cleaned after warnings of other councils discovered Legionella in the toilets that had not been used since March.

A public car park is available a short walk from the slipway, boatyard and pub and an ideal to use as abseils for walkers going through the National Trust land close to the houseboats towards Shotley, or to walk towards Woolverstone along the public footpath, taking in stunning views along the river Orwell.

Pin Mill is a popular place to visit with the Butt & Oyster now back open, although with many safety protocols in pace in both bar and restaurant.
