Popular Peninsula library threatened with closure

A library used by three generations of book lovers is threatened with closure unless more funding can be secured.

Shotley's pop up library, which operates each Monday could close when the current budget ends in the autumn.

Babergh district councillor Derek Davis is looking at ways of saving the library, which is more than just a book lending facility.

Monday afternoons include regular items such as Tot Rock from Tom Veasey, book clubs and other activities for all ages.
