Dozens of tractors of varying ages, makes and models with take to the roads and farm tracks across the stunning Shotley peninsula today, Saturday June 3.

The new route will take in Shotley Vineyard and then up to the Shotley Rose. Down to Erwarton and along to Harkstead, Lower Holbrook and the procession will visit the village fete at Holbrook, before going past the Royal Hospital School, into Stutton and then up to Tattingstone.

It will be party time in the evening at Valley Farm, Wherestead.

Tickets for the evening event can be reserved by calling Nicky on 07956066119. See poster here...

All monies raised will go to the East Anglian Air Ambulance charity as in previous two years where more than £10,000 has been raised.

Organiser Russel Abbott is delighted at the support the event has already received.

He said: "It has been incredible. We are really grateful to everyone that has contributed, That includes all the tractor owners, businesses that have donated towards the raffle, our small but great team and of course everyone that come out to support us one way or another.

"The East Anglian Air Ambulance is a vital life line, literally, to us in the rural community.

"If someone has a serious accident, or suffers heart failure, given the likely location, only the air ambulance can get there."

A Just Giving Page has now been set up for those who'd like to donate but can't make it or would prefer to contribute with an online payment.

For these lining the route there will be buckets with several of the escort vehicles and tractors for people to pop any cash into. All donations are greatly appreciated for this amazing charity, especially during these testing times. The link to the Just Giving Page is here:

Organisors have issued a plea for Holbrook village to keep the Street clear so the tractors can get through and reach the Support your Village Fete.

Spectators are encouraged to safely see the tractors on route and give them a wave or perhaps make a contribution but be patient.
