Peninsula pub set to reopen after recovering from Covid

A peninsula pub is to reopen after the landlord and members of staff were hit by coronavirus.

Simon Boyton will be opening the doors to the White Horse in Tattingstone tomorrow (Friday, 18 February) from 1pm for drinks only.

They will then start doing food from lunch time on Sunday, once they have replenished their fresh produce.

The White Horse is also planning to go ahead with their monthly quiz and supper at 7pm next Friday (25 February).

The pub was forced to stay closed as from Tuesday after Simon and other tested positive for Covid, but have all have now returned negative tests.

Meanwhile, the new look Shipwreck is now fully open, although visitors are warned the lack gates are still closed for annual maintenance, so walkers need to go through the marina.
