Peninsula key workers in focus: Pete the Postie
Inspired by our series of key workers on the peninsula, Woolverstone bed and breakfast owner Tony Gould has sent us his nomination.
Peter Francis, also known as' "Pete the Postie" covers Woolverstone, part of Chelmondiston, Harkstead and Lower Holbrook villages.
"I don't think he ever became "Pete the pants" (the American version of pants!) but he did take over from Shaun of "shorts" fame," Tony told us. "Pete always has a smile on his face and willing to offer his advice if you have a problem.
"His visit (even at two metres) is welcome at this time, not only for delivering the post or parcels but to hear that other people are doing ok with the isolation.
"Thank you, Pete for your cheery smile and timely deliveries."
Talking of Shaun of the Shorts; we were also sent this picture of the postman with a visual reminder that they too are 'heroes' in these straitened times, by wearing an appropriate outfit and giving everyone on his route a smile.
