As promised the Beast of The East hit the Shotley peninsula, and even parts of the area that usually escape the worst of things saw plenty of the white stuff.
Storm Darcy ignored our microclimate to arrive this morning, a bit later than predicted, but plenty of snow laid and even more is expected to arrive over the next couple of days.
Sticking to the old adage of 'there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing' Nub News was about and about along with plenty of other walkers and sledge-wielding families, as you can see by our picture gallery.
