A peninsula farming family are offering to provide 24 affordable homes on their land as part of a new housing estate.

Richard and Hazel Wrinch's family have applied to Babergh to build 48 dwellings with associated highways access, estate road, landscaping and Public Open Space, on large field next to Chapel Field.

The 24 affordable allowance, includes social housing, joint ownership and rental provision and well exceeds the 33% Babergh council requirement.

The scheme will include large swathes of wildflower meadow, a new road access coming off the Street almost opposite the Corner Garage.

Their is a possibility provision for a sports pitch, and/or skate park could be included in the open spaces areas.

An application to Babergh's planners has gone out for public consultation, with full details available on the Babergh website here - using reference DC/22/05162
