A new young couple have taken over at a Holbrook pub.

Jo Matthews and Adam Climie are aiming to reopen the Swan in the first week of December after recently taking over the pub, which was closed and put up for sale by Calvors in March.

The couple from Colchester have previously managed the Cock Horse in Lavenham, although they both have very different backgrounds.

Adam is a telecoms engineer by trading, who has worked with a company in London, while Jo is experienced in office management and account.

"We are not strangers to this work having worked for 18 months at the Cock Horse in Lavenham," the couple told Nub News. "We have moved to Holbrook and are still unpacking. We are looking forward to using the time between now and when we open, to get to know the villagers."

Jo and Adam are also looking to acquire pub dog to help them fit into Holbrook life.

Meanwhile, the landlord of the Compasses in Holbrook has told Nub News why they are leaving the pub. Full story here...
