Man arrested on drink drive charges after peninsula collision

A man has been charged with a drink drive offence after a crash between two vehicles on Thursday evening.
Police have confirmed a 36 year old male was arrested at the scene on suspicion of being unfit to drive through drink or drugs, and will appear before magistrates.
The B1456 was closed for a few hours between Woolverstone and Chelmondiston following the collision when the mother and two daughters in a escaped shaken but with no serious injuries, while the van driver was arrested.
Meanwhile, car driver Sarah Whitby has thanked passing motorists for stopping to help, and pulling the two young girls from the car.
