UPDATED: 20.00 - all clear.

Hundreds of motorists trying to get home on the Shotley peninsula have been held up again after an incident closed the Orwell Bridge.

Motorists trying to get across the bridge were left frustrated as the A14 was closed in both direction for more than two hours this evening.

Delays going back past the Wherstead junction on one side, and at Seven Hills the other side of the bridge led to a lengthy traffic

No reason has yet been given by Highways or the police for the delays.
