A popular peninsula Chinese takeaway has revealed its plans to reopen.

Laws Cottage owners Martin and Ruby Law in Chelmondiston, have decided on 5pm, next Thursday, May 28, to restart serving food, until 9pm.

Social distancing measures will be in place with just one customer allowed in the shop at any one time. Only phone orders will be accepted, and customers will be asked to wait outside and collect their food only when their order number has been displayed.

Laws Cottage will be open between 5pm - 9pm every day except Tuesday when it is closed, and will also be open between 12pm-2pm on Friday and Saturday.

Orders can be phoned through on 01473 780494.

The couple, who had to cancel a trip to Hong Kong when the coronavirus struck, have been in lockdown since March, but have been busy getting the takeaway shop ready for its customers.

Also in Chelmondiston, Hollingsworth's Stores and the post office, has gone back to its normal working hours, starting at 08.00 and going through until 17.30 most days.
