Update: Searches continue for missing teenager
Police searching for a missing 13-year-old from the Chantry area of Ipswich are appealing for members of the public to check their gardens, sheds and outbuildings.
Demi West, also known as Kaiden or Kai, was last seen at 1.30am this morning, Saturday 4 March, in the vicinity of Dunlin Road.
Officers are continuing their search in the Chantry area, assisted by a helicopter from the National Police Air Service and volunteers from Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue (SULSAR).
Police are now asking for local residents to check their gardens, their sheds and outbuildings and to look at any CCTV they may have. Dog walkers are also asked to be attentive when walking in woodland areas and to report any information that may assist police.
Kaiden is described as white, 5ft 3in tall, with shoulder-length hair which is blonde one side and dark the other side.
They were last seen wearing a white t-shirt or top and khaki green jogging bottoms.
They are believed to be barefoot, carrying a pink, checkered blanket and may be wearing gold, metal-framed glasses.
Police and family are very concerned for Kaiden's welfare, and believe they may require medical treatment. Anyone who believes they have seen Kaiden, or who has any information regarding their whereabouts, is asked to contact the duty sergeant at Landmark House in Ipswich on 101.
