Children across the Shotley peninsula have been given souvenir mugs to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

Brantham parish council chairman Alastair McCaw handed out the mugs to schoolchildren at Brooklands Primary School on their final day of term.

The colourful collection was funded by the parish council as part of its contribution to community events.

Friends of the Erwarton meeting are also looking to hand out souvenirs to children in their village after a grant from Babergh's Ganges ward councillor Derek Davis from his Locality Award budget.
