Job of the Week: Activities coordinator at peninsula care home

An energetic, enthusiastic and organised activities coordinator is being sought by a care home on the Shotley peninsula.

Spring Lodge are looking for someone who could support and facilitate resident's social, intellectual and spiritual well-being, through activity, by supporting interests and enabling participation.

In the past the activities coordinator has organised a range of events from belly dancing, Elvis nights, fetes, Christmas pantos and quizzes, among many more fun events at Spring Lodge.

As well as assist in the organisation and implementation of individual, group and fundraising activities to promote and support each resident's aspirations.

They would ensure residents have the opportunity to participate in activities within the home as well as assist in the care of the resident's physical environment and in the general day-to-day activities of the care home as well as compile social care plans for residents (understanding of their interests and aspirations).
