Ipswich Crown Court adjourns case against Chelmondiston couple accused of £200,000 fraud

A Chelmondiston couple have appeared in court via a video link accused of a £200,000 fraud by abuse of position.

The plea and trial preparation hearing against Rebecca and Simon Toloui, of Main Road, Chelmondiston, was adjourned at the married couple's barrister Gareth Hughes' request, until next Friday at appeared at Ipswich Crown Court yesterday (Friday, January 29).

Mr Toloui, 65, and Mrs Toloui, 58, face an allegation that a number of payments totalling £200,000 received from Suffolk County Council to look after their disabled son were not used for his care.

Judge Martyn Levett adjourned the hearing until February 18 where pleas are expected to be taken.
