Holbrook fire crew's early morning alarm call

Retained firefighters at Holbrook station were given an early morning alarm call today when they responded to a shout in Shotley.

The fire crew scrambled at 01.51 to answer an automatic alarm which had been set off in Estuary Road Shotley Gate, but were stood down 30 minutes later after attending the incident.

There were no reports of damage to the property or injuries to occupants.
