A Holbrook couple have renewed their plea for donations of paracetamol which they can send to The Gambia.

Wendy and Julian Andrews, who paid for a nursery to be built in a small village called Kitty, in the African country in memory of her brother Christopher Mason, have been sending much needed supplies to a small village for the past four years.

The paracetamol is vitally important to the villagers to help combat malaria, and is distributed by the local clinic but Covid-19 has hit the area hard.

Many tourists that used to visit The Gambia before the pandemic, would often take school supplies, bottled water supplies and paracetamol in the spare space in their holiday cases, but Covid-19 has meant no visitors and the disease has exacerbated the county's poverty with a lack of running water and sanitation in many villages and homes means keeping clean and virus free is very complex.

The couple send supplies, including paracetamol, in suitcases, which are them used by families to store food safely.
