Updated: Road cleared by Suffolk Highways within a couple of hours.

High winds overnight caused a tree to fall onto a Shotley Gate road.

The large tree, which fell from the boundary of the former HMS Ganges site, blocked Caledonia Road in the early hours.

Due to its proximity to the junction of the main B1456 and for vehicles turning left into the road, it was deemed an emergency and reported by phone at around 06.40 this morning.
