Simon Harley has lived on the Peninsula for 27 years through his medical career, mostly as a GP in Ipswich but also in specialty clinics.

Simon is also church warden for St Mary's, Tattingstone and helps with services and church related events in Tattingstone.

He wants to represent the people of the Shotley Peninsula and Brantham and is standing for the Green Party in the up coming council elections.

Simon said: "I have spoken to many local people who are concerned about the damage to our local environment.

"I want to preserve our countryside from over-development and to help local people have a better future.

"We need to preserve our area of natural beauty for the sake of all of us and the fragile planet we live on. We have to find better ways to live in harmony with nature instead of over exploitation."
