Did you know that candy floss was invented by a dentist?

It is unknown if William Morris had some sort of ulterior motive with his invention but there is no doubt that it certainly helped his profession in getting people in the chair.

In 1897, he partnered up with confectionary maker John C. Wharton to develop the candy floss machine (which at the time was known as "Fairy Floss"). It is not quite the floss you would expect from a dentist.
