Delphiniums are popular perennials on the peninsula , for their colorful summer flowers in gorgeous shades of blue, pink, white, and purple. Very young delphinium plants and delphinium seeds are poisonous. If ingested, they can cause nausea, twitching muscles, paralysis, and even death.
