Old car enthusiasts flocked to Shotley today's east Coasts Retros returned once more.

Scores of people of all ages meandered around the rows of pre-2001 vehicles massed on the field behind the Shotley Rose.

Classic Rolls Royces, Bentleys and Mustangs were lined up with old Minis, Triumphs, Fiats and Toyotas, along with Jags, Capris and Cortinas in a colourful event on a sunny day on the Shotley peninsula.

Queues snaked towards the popular barbecue being manned by Jamie Barwick, with Sarah and Mark kept everyone refreshed in the bar.

With the Shotley auction going on in full swing in the neighbouring village hall, it was a bustling day along The Street.

There is even more planned for this evening in The Rose, with Mr Smooth playing live from 8.30pm with his variety of swinging singing.
