Early bird tickets are now available for brave 'dippers' wanting to take the plunge this Christmas, as St Elizabeth Hospice's Christmas Day Dip returns for 2023.

The independent Suffolk charity is once again asking the local community to show its love for its local hospice by completing a fundraising dip in the North Sea, on Christmas Day, with early bird tickets now available to purchase for £10 until 31st October.

Returning for the 19th time, the much-loved event will see hundreds of 'dippers' don festive outfits before plunging into the icy cold North Sea at Felixstowe to raise vital funds, through sponsorship, for St Elizabeth Hospice which every year delivers free care to on average over 3,000 patients and their families throughout East Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney.

Brandon Orton, Events and Challenges Fundraiser at St Elizabeth Hospice, said: "Once again we are excited to announce the return of our popular Christmas Day Dip.

"Full of festive fun and a Christmas tradition for so many, the Christmas Day Dip is always a landmark event in the hospice calendar, as the local community joins together to show their support for the hospice.

"With early bird tickets now available, there is no better time to register and start encouraging friends and family to sponsor you. Every pound raised really will make a difference to our staff as they care for patients and their families throughout East Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney during very difficult times in their lives."

The St Elizabeth Hospice Christmas Day Dip 2023 will take place on Christmas Day at 10am, opposite Mannings Amusement on Felixstowe seafront.

Each ticket price includes a medal. To register for tickets visit https://register.enthuse.com/ps/event/ChristmasDayDip2023

Funds raised through the Christmas Day Dip will go towards the hospice's Christmas fundraising campaign, Be a Star, which helps the hospice support hundreds of patients and their families over the Christmas period.
