Drivers are being warned of delays and closures on and near the Shotley peninsula as from tomorrow. (Tuesday).

Anglian Water will be carrying out repairs on the Main Road at Chelmondiston from Tuesday to Thursday, meaning there will be delays for traffic to and from Shotley.

Motorists planning to use the A14 to get to and from Felixstowe may want to avoid going overnight as barrier and fence safety repairs are being carried out.

The works start on Tuesday evening and will see the road closed between 8pm and 6am every weeknight.

Those going in the opposite direction should be aware the eastbound carriageway from the Copdock Interchange to junction 53 at Whitehouse is set to be closed Tuesday night from 9pm to 5am on Wednesday morning.

This is due to works by National Highways.
