Constable Park paddle board and kayaking centre opens Saturday

A new kayaking and paddle board centre is opening up on the banks of the River Stour.

Constable Park, in Brantham, will open phase one of its enterprise tomorrow (Saturday, May 28) to hire out the equipment to gently row up or down the river either sitting or standing.

Prices for hourly hire start at £15, which includes board or kayak, buoyancy aids and a dry bag. There are also family sized paddle board, and everyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Although the park's cafe is not yet fully owned, light refreshment and ice creams will be available.

The centre will be open from 10m over the weekend and through the half-term holiday next week.

Set in the picturesque part of south Suffolk, Constable Park is a luxury camp site with glamping-style tents and cabins to suit the whole family and is due to open fully over the next couple of months.
