Police have issued a further appeal for assistance in their searching for a missing woman.

50-year-old Sarah Field was reported missing to police yesterday Friday 5 March and was last heard from the day before, on Thursday 4 March at around 8pm.

Although from Ipswich, and originally travelling by foot, it is possible Sarah is on the Shotley peninsula or one of the neighbouring villages.

Sarah is described as white, 5 feet 7 inches tall, slim build, with long straight dyed red hair and was wearing a long white puffer parka coat with black fur on the hood, light colour tracksuit bottoms and possibly a bobble hat with small drawstring rucksack (or similar) on her back.

Police are extremely concerned for her welfare and would ask anyone with any information about Sarah to call 101 or in an emergency call 999 quoting incident reference number 103 of Friday 5 March.
