Police have drawn a blank into who set up a drugs factory in Chelmondiston.

The hot house in a flat above Hollingsworth's shop in Church Road was discovered after a member of the public reported their suspicions to police in August, earlier this year.

Approximately 100 plants were seized from two bedrooms in the flat and are now destined to be destroyed.

Despite extensive enquiries police have been unable to identify any suspects and the Welham family that lease the ground floor and run the shop below the flat have been eliminated from enquires.

According to the Land Registry, the building comprising of the shop and flat, known as Chestnut House, in Church Road, is owned by a Mr P and Mrs J Cordle, whose who bought it in November 2012 for £315,000, they too are not under suspicion.

A police spokesman said: "All reasonable lines of enquiry have been pursued and the investigation has now been closed pending any new information coming to light."
