Body found in woodland confirmed as missing 22-year-old with Shotley connections

A 22-year-old with close Shotley connection has been named as the person found dead in woodland, Suffolk police have confirmed.
Mason Seymour, was last seen at about 2.30am on Thursday, July 29 in the Shotley area and was reported missing the following week.
Officers searching for Mr Seymour had found a body in woodland in Claydon, north of Ipswich, on November 13 but the death is not being treated as suspicious and an inquest will be held in due course.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said: "Police can confirm that a body discovered in a wooded area in Claydon on Saturday, November 13 has been identified as that of Mason Seymour.
"Officers attended and subsequently informed the family of 22-year-old-Mason, who has been missing since July last year.
"There are no suspicious circumstances and the coroner has been informed and an inquest will be opened in due course."
Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue, along with other partners, had carried out searches in and around the Shotley area, including on the former HMS Ganges site, in a bid to locate Mr Seymour.
Police renewed their appeals to find mason over the autumn and believed he may have been in the Shotley or Ipswich areas before his body was discovered in mid-November.
