Biker hospitalised after careering off peninsula road

A biker was taken to hospital after he appeared to misjudge the Freston junction and ended up deep into a farmers field.

Emergency services to called to the incident on Saturday afternoon and a male was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The rider came off at the bend and into the field by the bus stop on the B1456.

Passing bikers and motorists stopped to help the injured person.
