Babergh District Council is offering a little peace for parents and carers during the Christmas holidays, with a range of festive fun to keep children and young people active and entertained.

From dancing to arts and crafts, multi-activity holiday clubs to soccer schools, there's something for every child to enjoy, as well as activities for the whole family, such as cooking classes and swimming sessions.

Activities are running from Thursday, 21 December to Friday, 29 December as part of the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme, coordinated by Suffolk County Council and delivered locally by Babergh and Mid Suffolk Districts Councils and partners.

Free places are allocated to those in receipt of free school meals or those otherwise in need, but most sessions are also available to local families for a small fee.

These include a range of activities at Brantham Leisure Centre where their holiday club includes football, multi-sports, arts and crafts, mini chefs, or dodgeball. For five-12 year olds.

You can book a holiday club session in Brantham online or phone 01206 392506

Cllr Deborah Saw, cabinet member for people and place at Babergh, said: "We know Christmas can be a demanding time of year for many families, in terms of both time and finances, and it's important that families in Babergh know their council is there to support them.

"I'm pleased that we can offer another exciting programme of activities during the Christmas holidays, which will provide an opportunity for children to get involved in the things they love or lead them to find a new interest."
