The A14 has reopened after a serious road traffic collision this morning.

A man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after the collision between a car and a lorry which occurred just before 7am on the eastbound carriageway near Levington.

The road was closed between the Seven Hills interchange and the Kirton turn-off and nearby roads quickly became heavily congested. The A14 reopened at around 12.30pm.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or who has dashcam footage is asked to contact the Joint Norfolk & Suffolk Serious Collision Investigation Unit, quoting incident reference 37/5821/23.
