Shotley peninsula Nub News supporting Sea Sunday

By Derek Davis

10th Jul 2020 | Local News

The Shotley peninsula has a rich maritime history with its fishermen, Merchant and Royal Navy personnel, so Sea Sunday is a chance for everyone to celebrate seafarers together and fundraise to support a charity's vital work.

This year, the Mission to Seafarers will mark the occasion with an online service led by secretary general, Andrew Wright with a special appearance from their president, HRH The Princess Royal.

You can also expect to hear from chaplains and seafarers from across the globe, as well as musical contributions from the Hadrian Primary School Choir and Lloyd's Choir.

Join with others from around the world at a time that suits you to celebrate seafarers via their YouTube channel or website on Sea Sunday, 12 July 2020.
