Saturday's Sad Statistic
On this day in 1968, the housing charity, Shelter, said up to three million people in Britain were living in damp, overcrowded slum conditions. According to figures released by the Health Foundation back in December last year, one in three households (32% or 7.6 million) in England had at least one major housing problem relating to overcrowding, affordability or poor-quality housing.

Joke of the day:
Did you hear about the chicken farmer who had a tornado hit the chickens' shelter?
He's afraid he'll never be able to recoup his losses
Did you groan? (send us your own favourite joke).
