Another peninsula business is closing earlier, and reducing choices, this time in order to cover for the boss's holiday.

Mohammed Ali at the Lasan Indian takeaway and fish and chip shop, is taking a long overdue break and visiting family in Bagladesh.

Ali is leaving the Lasan in the capable hands of son Ahmed and chef Raju as from December 1 until mid-January.

To help in a smooth transition the Lasan will be closing early at 9pm and have simplified the Indian food menu (see below).

The rest of the chip menu, including fish, sausages, pies and chicken, will continue as usual.

Lasan's temporary simplified Indian food menu:

Chicken Tikka

Vegetable or meat samosa

Chicken bhuna

Chicken mossala

Garlic

Plain

Side dishes:

Bombay aloo

Plain rice
