Buses on the peninsula will be operating to a Saturday timetable for the foreseeable future, Suffolk Council Council have this evening confirmed.
The 97 and 92 buses are among dozens of bus routes affected as the council and bus companies work together to ensure key workers and other passengers can travel safely.
School routes, including the 604 to Holbrook academy and the 92 and 94 to East Bergholt from the peninsula are suspended.
A Suffolk County Council spokeswoman said: "SCC is doing all it can to help keep vital services going for those people who must travel – our key workers and elderly and vulnerable residents.
"These changes will also help ensure there are enough members of staff to keep vital services running over the coming weeks and months. SCC will continue to monitor the situation with partners."
This means the first bus leaving Shotley from opposite the Bristol Arms is 0725 and the last bus home from Ipswich Cattle Market is 17.45.
The 92 leaves Cattawade at 07.41 and the last one back from Ipswich 17.40.There is no number 98 service.
